Fermented and gently aged on lees in large format old French oak barrels, this is a standout wine displaying elegant, bright, full fruit character, balanced perfectly and silky texture.
This is a limited-edition barrel release crafted to delight. Fragrant notes of spiced pear, honeysuckle and nectarine are overlaid with vanilla and subtle oak characters. Maturation in large format French oak has rounded out the palate and added some creamy textures without taking away from the freshness. This all leads into a bright, long and complex finish.
A few years further ageing (if it ever gets the chance) will add some exotic perfumes and more richness to the palate so it will be worth putting some bottles away if you can possibly bear it.
Perfect on its own, or enjoyed with seafood, pasta, artisan cheese, and spicy dishes.
