Restaurant Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Restaurant Supervisor to join our leadership team. This role is primarily day-service, offering a rare hospitality lifestyle balance, with occasional evening functions.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will lead our front-of-house team to deliver seamless, high-end dining experiences. You will be a trusted presence on the floor, ensuring every guest receives the "Bangor treatment."

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the FOH team to uphold our high service standards.

  • Service Excellence: Oversee daily operations, table bookings, and small functions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Operations: Manage POS systems, bookings, inventory, and stock control/ordering.

  • Growth: Work with management to meet sales targets and KPIs through authentic upselling of our wine and experiences.


Your Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Strong hospitality background with 2+ years in a leadership role (highly desirable).

  • Knowledge: A passion for food and wine; knowledge of Tasmanian wines is a plus, but we can also train the right person.

  • Leadership: Ability to stay calm under pressure, solve problems on the fly, and mentor junior staff.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with our local community and visitors alike.

  • Compliance: A valid RSA certificate and availability for weekends and public holidays.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate person to join our Cellar Door Sales team. This primarily a daytime role, offering a rare hospitality lifestyle balance, with only occasional evening functions.

Working closely with the Cellar Door team you will deliver a high standard of customer service and will passionately represent Bangor. We are looking for a qualified chef or experienced cook to join the restaurant team in our kitchen over summer. Duties include:
  • Food preparation and serving
  • Assist with food ordering and management of food and pantry stocks
  • Assist with menu development
  • Assist with functions
We are looking for someone to join the restaurant team. This is an opportunity to be part of a busy kitchen, working with a caring and dedicated team, to deliver a high quality food experience. This is a great time to join the restaurant team with exciting plans ahead, after the fantastic kitchen redevelopment in 2022. We have a strong training program and will provide training and support in this role. We provide a trial shift so that you can get to know us.  We will be highly flexible in tailoring this role to you.  We can offer a casual, part time, or full-time position, depending on the needs of the candidate.
