      Farming and Tourism

      Bangor Vineyard Shed, was awarded the 2023, 2022 and 2019 Tasmanian Tourism Awards Gold Medal for Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries. We were awarded Gold in the 2022 Australian Tourism Awards.

      In 2018 Matt and Vanessa Dunbabin were awarded the Eco Stewardship Award, at the star-studded Green Carpet Fashion Awards in Milan. The award recognises the environmental management at Bangor.

      In 2015 Matt Dunbabin was awarded Australian Farmer of the Year and Diversification Farmer of the year for his work at Bangor. Today the property supports a diverse range of enterprises from fine wool production, to prime lamb, beef, cropping, grapes and wine, tourism and nature conservation.

      Bangor has a long and proud tradition of caring for the environment. Bangor was awarded the 1996 National Landcare Nature Conservation Award and the 2004 McKell Medal for excellence in natural resource management.
