Relaxed Wine Tasting
The best way to get to know Tasmanian wine is to visit one of Tassie's beautiful cool climate vineyards and do a tasting. We have a number of wine tasting experiences for you at Bangor. Our friendly and experienced team will lead you through our wine range in a relaxed way. Learn about our wines and how they are made, along with some of the history and colourful characters that have been part of the Bangor story for over 400 years.
Open daily, 10am-5pm. No booking needed for a wine tasting, just drop in. Estate and Reserve tastings available. No charge if T/A bottles are purchased.
A Story in Every Bottle
Our family has cared for Bangor since 1890, but the story of this land stretches back tens of thousands of years through the Tasmanian Aboriginal people, the original custodians of this place. From Abel Tasman’s arrival in 1642 to the stories of our convict ancestors in the 1830s, Bangor’s wines reflect the rich history of those who came before us.
At Bangor, you experience more than just a wine tasting, you immerse yourself in a truly unique slice of Tasmania.
Wine Tasting
Wine tastings are available everyday, 10am-5pm. No bookings are necessary, but you can book a tasting with your restaurant table.
You can also book a paired wine and food experience. Try our Tasmanian wines matched with mouthwatering local produce. The perfect experience with friends and family, and a great start to your meal, 45 mins.
Vineyard Tour
Take a walk through the vines, while tasting Bangor's wines. Learn about the stunning historic Bangor property, while taking in the views over the vineyard and the bay. 45 mins.
Wine + Chocolate Tasting
Our paired wine and chocolate tasting is a uniquely decadent experience. Select four wines from our estate range of wines, paired with hand-selected Federation chocolate. Learn about Bangor vineyard and wines while paired with a selection of beautiful Tasmanian chocolate.
Wine + Cheese Tasting
Cheese and wine are a classic match. Enjoy a selection of beautiful local cheeses while you taste wines from our range. Available daily in the cellar door. No booking needed, just ask us when you arrive.
