Bangor Vineyard Shed is located at 20 Blackman Bay Road, Dunalley, on the Tasman Peninsula. We’re just 45 minutes from Hobart on the Arthur Highway, and we are the last winery before Port Arthur.

Simply follow the A9 toward Port Arthur. Our entrance is well-signed and easy to find.

We are open 7 days a week, 10am–5pm.

Our kitchen closes at 4pm, but you’re welcome to enjoy tastings, wine by the glass, or the view until closing time, and we often had oysters and cheese still available.

We are closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.

We recommend booking a table — especially on weekends, public holidays, school holidays, and during summer.

No booking is required for standard wine tastings at the bar.

During busy periods, there may be a short wait, but walk-ins are always welcome.

For groups, or if you would like a guided tasting or vineyard tour, we recommend booking ahead.

Tastings are available all day and can be enjoyed inside or overlooking the vineyard.

You can taste from our range of wines, learning about our vineyard and how our wine is made, and about the history of the Bangor property. You can take a tour of the vineyard, or enjoy a wine and food pairing experience. You can takeaway wine from the cellar door, and our wine can be posted to your door, Australia-wide. We have a range of light meals available, made by our talented chefs from the freshest local produce. Feel like just sitting and taking in the view with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake? You can do that too! We have a range of seating options including inside tables, inside bar, couch area, outside deck area and picnic tables on the lawn. We cater for events, functions, meetings, and weddings.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our outdoor areas on a lead.

There’s plenty of space and water bowls available.

Bangor is a working farm with sheep grazing right up to the fence of Bangor Vineyard Shed, so please keep your dog on a lead at all times, and collect any waste. Please be mindful of other customers, especially children. Just ask our friendly staff if you have any questions.

We have free onsite parking, suitable for cars, small buses, and campervans.

Bangor Vineyard Shed is wheelchair and pram accessible, with level access to the restaurant, tasting bar, and outdoor areas. We have a wheelchair accessible bathroom.

Yes — all our wines are available to purchase by the bottle or case at the cellar door.

We also offer Australia-wide shipping via our online store.

We produce small batches of each vintage, and we sell out each year. You will find Bangor wine through the cellar door, or our online store. Very few bottles are available elsewhere. There are a small number of restaurants in Hobart that have our wine on their menu, and a small number of bottle shops in Hobart. You will not find us on the mainland of Australia.

We host private lunches, meetings, corporate events, celebrations, and group tastings.

Custom menus and flexible spaces are available.

Yes — Bangor is a beautiful venue for weddings, from intimate celebrations to larger events.

We offer ceremony spaces, reception options, food packages, and stunning Tasman Peninsula views.

Most visitors stay 2–3 hours enjoying lunch, tastings, and the vineyard views.

Add 45 minutes if booking a vineyard tour.

Our seasonal menu features fresh Tasmanian produce, showcasing meat, seafood, vegetables, and house-made desserts. We source the freshest produce from the land and sea around us.

We do have a wide range of food options on our menu, and wonderful outdoor spaces for enjoying the view.

Yes you can bring your own cake for a special occasion. There is a charge of $7 pp, and plates and a knife will be provided. We also have an amazing cake Chef in-house. Email us at info@bangorshed.com.au, for more information about how we can create a wonderful cake and have it waiting here for your group.

All our wines are available through our online shop with delivery Australia-wide.

We also offer seasonal mixed packs, wine club memberships, and exclusive releases.

Your wine is both tracked and insured. It can take a few extra days to get to you from country Tasmania. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery. If your wine does not arrive in that time please contact us - we will track it and work with Australia Post to ensure it gets safely to you.

Wine is a heavy product, so there are costs to shipping it around Australia.

We absorb most of the costs of shipping for our customers.  The shipping rates vary from time to time and can be seen at checkout. Wine Club members enjoy FREE shipping Australia-wide. Contact us for international shipping rates.

Gift vouchers are available online and at cellar door.

We also offer seasonal gift packs, perfect for birthdays, Christmas, or special occasions.
