Captain Spotswood showcases the red fruit characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape. Bright ruby in colour, our 2023 Spotswood introduces itself with aromas of raspberry and red cherry, following through with mouth-watering dark cherry, wild blueberry, and plum, with delicate savoury notes that make this a superb food wine.

Captain Spotswood is a beautiful Tasmanian Pinot Noir that is all about fun times with friends and family. This Pinot can be enjoyed all year round, and paired with a wide range of food from cheese to seafood, lamb, beef and game meats.

A Note From Us

“2023 was a cool and wet season resulting in low yields. The long growing season delivered mouth watering acidity and delightful flavour, with a beautiful crisp finish. Enjoy this versatile wine with a wide range of food year round.” - Matt & Vanessa

The Captain Spotswood Story

In the 1830's Captain John Spotswood owned where Bangor vineyard stands today. Early records suggest that he was quite a character that rather enjoyed a drink. Captain Spotswood Pinot is all about great wine that delights, but doesn't take itself too seriously!
