Bangor + the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, food, and wine, as Bangor partners with musicians from the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

This exclusive event features an intimate performance by a TSO quartet, who will weave a series of exquisite vignettes across the evening. Each performance will be presented between courses, giving you the rare opportunity to experience world-class musicianship in an intimate setting.

To accompany the music, you’ll enjoy a four-course cocktail-style dinner crafted to showcase the best local produce. Mingle with friends, chat with the musicians, and savour Bangor wines in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

To make the evening effortless, a return bus from Hobart (with optional stops along the way) ensures you can sit back, relax, and enjoy every moment.

This is more than a concert, and more than a dinner - it’s a truly unique celebration of Tasmanian musicianship, food and wine.

Is this a concert?
Not in the traditional sense. Throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy a series of intimate performances from a TSO quartet, presented between each course. This is a rare opportunity to experience world-class musicians from your Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra up close and personal. You’ll also have the chance to meet the musicians as they mingle and chat between performances.

Is there seating?
Yes, there will be seating during the performances and a mixture of seating and standing in-between. This is a cocktail-style event designed for mixing and mingling with friends. There will be chairs available, along with a few small tables and wine barrels placed around the venue.

How does the bus work?
We’ve made travelling easy with a return bus from Hobart. The bus departs from the Campbell Street side of the Hotel Grand Chancellor at 4:00pm. No. We’ll have your name on the guest list and will check you in on arrival. The bus driver will also have a passenger list, so no printed ticket is required.

No strict dress code, neat casual is perfectly fine. But if you’d like to dress up for the occasion, this is a wonderful excuse to wear something special.

Caring for the environment everyday

Bangor is a 6,000 hectare property farmed and cared for by Matt & Vanessa Dunbabin's family since 1890. With over 5,000 hectares of native forests and wetlands, 35 kilometers of coastline and 2,000 hectares of private nature conservation reserves, and many endangered species including Tassie Devils and Swift Parrots, caring for the environment is a way of life at Bangor.

Bangor is carbon positive. We store significantly more carbon every year than we emit, 1,500 tonnes more!  When you choose Bangor wine, you're supporting the environment and our conservation work. Thank you!
