Subtle fruit, delicate oak and elegance is what our 2022 vintage is all about. The 2022 Bangor Chardonnay exhibits nuances of white peach, nectarine, quince and cashew nut, gently encompassed with soft acid and lightly toasted oak.

A delightful wine for any occasion, it would pair well with seafood, chicken, cheese plates and creamy pasta dishes.

Enjoy now or cellar 5 to 10 years.

Small batch, 360 cases made.

A Note From Us

“2022 was a challenging cool season resulting in low yields. Warm weather in April saw the grapes ripen beautifully at the very the end of the season, giving this Chardonnay beautiful flavour, and a crisp finish. The perfect food wine for a wide range of dishes from roast chicken to salad, cheeses, seafood and pasta.” - Matt & Vanessa

The 1830 Story

This wine in named in honour of John Dunbabin, who lived as a tenant farmer in the Bangor region of Wales. At the age of 23 he was transported to Van Diemen's Land as a convict, arriving in Hobart Town in December 1830.
