Abel Tasman is our Flagship wine label, crafted from our best-performing Pinot Noir vines and matured in French oak.  In the tradition of fine cool climate Tasmanian wine, Abel Tasman is an elegant, full-bodied Pinot Noir.

Deep Ruby with purple tinges, along with a rich aroma of dark cherry, blood plum and kalamata olives set the stage for another memorable Bangor Pinot Noir. The palate is a bold mixture of savoury dark cherry, plum, olives, spice, and pepper, all with held together with a fabulous tannin structure.  This could be one for the ages!   Cellar 10 years +.

Small Batch - less than 8 cases remaining. 2 bottle limit.

  • Alcohol 14.0%

A Note From Us

“2021 was a moderate year in the vineyard with the perfect slow growing conditions for great flavour development in the Pinot berries. Gently aged on a mixture of new and old oak barrels, this produced a delightfully complex pinot noir that will continue to grow and reward with cellaring over the next few years.” - Matt & Vanessa

Caring for the environment everyday

Bangor is a 6,000 hectare property farmed and cared for by Matt & Vanessa Dunbabin's family since 1890. With over 5,000 hectares of native forests and wetlands, 35 kilometers of coastline and 2,000 hectares of private nature conservation reserves, and many endangered species including Tassie Devils and Swift Parrots, caring for the environment is a way of life at Bangor.

Bangor is carbon positive. We store significantly more carbon every year than we emit, 1,500 tonnes more!  When you choose Bangor wine, you're supporting the environment and our conservation work. Thank you!
