As part of the Southern Open Vineyards Wine Festival Weekend, we have an exclusive wine tasting tour of Bangor vineyard.

Join us for a rare, behind-the-scenes look at Bangor Vineyard during the most exciting time of year, as the grapes ripen in anticipation of the harvest.

This exclusive experience takes you into the heart of the vines with owner Matt Dunbabin. As you stroll through the vines, Matt will share Bangor’s rich stories, from its ancient heritage and European explorers, to tales of convict determination and Tasmanian larrikinism.

Following the tour, settle in for a curated tasting of six premium wines from our current range. You’ll learn the secrets of our cool-climate viticulture and the craft behind every bottle. The wines will be paired with a relaxed lunch showcasing the very best of our region: fresh oysters, artisanal cheeses, local meats, and crusty breads.

    Caring for the environment everyday

Bangor is a 6,000 hectare property farmed and cared for by Matt & Vanessa Dunbabin's family since 1890. With over 5,000 hectares of native forests and wetlands, 35 kilometers of coastline and 2,000 hectares of private nature conservation reserves, and many endangered species including Tassie Devils and Swift Parrots, caring for the environment is a way of life at Bangor.

Bangor is carbon positive. We store significantly more carbon every year than we emit, 1,500 tonnes more!  When you choose Bangor wine, you're supporting the environment and our conservation work. Thank you!
