A Summer Wedding at Bangor Vineyard

“Ben and Will planned their whole Bangor wedding from Melbourne, so it was really special getting to know them through all the different stages of planning and helping bring their ideas to life from a distance.

They chose such a beautiful way to make the most of Bangor in summer. With the vines at their lushest, they each walked down through a separate vineyard row before meeting at their ceremony under the gumtree."

"Their whole day had so many personal touches. They had unique live music, handwritten letters to each guest as their place cards and we sourced Frank’s Cider especially for their drinks package because of their family connection to the orchard.”

Paddock-to Plate Dining

Ben & Will chose our Bangor Classic shared-style feast and a two long-table set-up for their reception, so they could be nestled in amongst all of their guests for the sit down dinner.

Seafood featured heavily in their canapé choices, with Chargrilled Pirate’s Bay Octopus and fresh Boomer Bay oysters with Nam Jim. Their guests enjoyed the oysters while looking straight out over the water at Boomer Bay where they had come from.

They paired their menu with our Jimmy’s Hill drinks package, with Bangor Vintage 2022 Sparkling flowing throughout the night.

Personal Touches

“The day was full of little details that made it feel very Ben and Will. Their name cards were actually handwritten letters to each of their guests, which I thought was such a beautiful idea, that I can only imagine how special that was to each of their guests.

They had gorgeous native flowers from Flora Gondwana with stunning pops of yellow in the arrangements. They made the most of the vineyard being so green in January by using two rows of vines as their aisles down to their ceremony under the gumtree.

They also had an acoustic duo with singer Belle from XO Sounds playing for the ceremony and during canapés and cocktail hour, followed by a show-stopping electric violin performance from their friend Cheralyn later in the evening. The staff still talk about that performance!” - Kate, Bangor Wedding Coordinator

Genuine Care

“From the very beginning, Kate (and Kari before she moved on) guided us through the planning process with such clarity and care. The documents and guides you provided were invaluable, and knowing we were in trusted hands made everything feel stress-free. Our planning catchups were always simple, efficient and it really felt like Kate was going that extra mile to keep things off our plate and ensure it was stress-free.

On the night itself, Caitlin and Caylen were simply fabulous. You were thorough and considerate while maintaining such a relaxed, welcoming presence. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything ran seamlessly. It was clear to us that you genuinely love what you do, and that energy made the whole evening feel effortless and joyful.

Our guests (and vendors) were so complimentary of how smooth and effortless the night was. It’s really a credit to you all.” — Ben & Will

A Home Away from Home

Ben & Will stayed at Bangor Heritage Cottage for two nights, with their two dogs joining them for the wedding weekend.

“Our stay at the cottage was beyond anything we could have hoped for.. SO beautiful, comfortable, and the perfect backdrop for photos. We are especially grateful to the Dunbabin family for allowing our dogs to be part of the experience. Having them stay at the cottage and be integrated into our special day meant the world to us.

It was simply the best day we could ever hope for, and Bangor will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We can’t wait for our next trip home so we can visit again. x"
