Wedding couple walking together with guests at Bangor Vineyard

A Rustic Autumn Wedding at Bangor

"Some weddings are all about the fine details, but with Sophie and Ben's wedding I always knew it was really about the people. From the moment their guests arrived they wanted the focus to be on bringing everyone together.  From our very first planning conversations, it was clear that Ben and Sophie wanted the day to feel relaxed and effortless, with plenty of time for good food, great wine and celebrating with the people they love most." - Kate, Bangor Weddings Coordinator

Paddock-to Plate Dining

Sophie & Ben chose a classic long table feast for their reception. Rather than sitting separately, they chose to be nestled right in amongst their guests, creating a warm atmosphere and ensuring they were part of every laugh and moment throughout their dinner.

They chose a shared-style feast to further elevate the relaxed, social feel & their menu featuring dishes like Moroccan Slow Cooked Bangor Lamb from the property itself.

Personal Touches

"The day was full of personal touches. Their Border Collie made an appearance not only in their first look photos, but also on the personalised menus I printed for the reception. Sophie also made their wedding cake herself, which was incredible. When she first mentioned she wasn't normally much of a baker, I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out beautifully and was such a lovely reflection of who she is. We later served it to guests on the dancefloor, which felt like the perfect way to share it.” - Kate, Bangor Wedding Coordinator

Care & Support

“Where to even begin! We have always loved Bangor and visit often for lunch, so it was the first and favourite choice for being the venue to get married at.

From the beginning stages of planning our wedding, Kate was so quick to respond, and the communication was amazing, especially as we started planning while overseas. The whole process was so easy, and Kate made it completely stress-free.

We can’t express how amazing Kate is, she really has everything covered and she went above and beyond. We truly cannot fault Bangor we both feel so lucky to have been married there. So many of our guests raved about what an incredible venue it is and how it was one of the best weddings they had been to. We couldn’t be more grateful." - Sophie & Ben

Bespoke & Attentive

" Bangor obviously are very experienced as a wedding venue, but it never felt generic and the night flowed so naturally. We felt so looked after in the lead up and throughout the whole night, Kate was so attentive to us ensuring we had everything we needed.
The wait staff on the night were fun, patient and professional. Honestly could not have asked for a better venue, it was truly amazing. The food and wine were plentiful and delicious!

The heritage cottage was so special, I’d get married all over again just to stay there. It was such a peaceful place to spend the night prior to the wedding with the bridesmaids and a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. It was incredible and so well thought out. It was lovely to wake up there as a married couple and have a quiet cup of tea post ceremony the next morning!” – Sophie & Ben
