Wine Tasting for Curious Wine Lovers – Bangor's 12th Birthday

Love drinking wine but wish you knew a little more about it?

Join us for a fun, relaxed and informative wine tasting as we celebrate Bangor Vineyard Shed's 12th Birthday!

Hosted by Bangor owner Vanessa Dunbabin, this small-group experience will take you through seven of Bangor's award-winning wines, exploring the basics of wine tasting, winemaking and how to get the most enjoyment from every glass.

Learn the art of swirling, sniffing and sipping, discover what to look for in a wine, and get answers to all those questions you've always wanted to ask:

  • What makes a red wine red and a white wine white?

  • How does sparkling wine get its bubbles?

  • What do people mean by tannins, acidity and body?

  • How did lychee and forest floor get into my glass of wine?

  • And how should you serve, store and cellar your wines?

We'll enjoy some delicious local nibbles along the way and, weather permitting, take a short stroll into the vineyard to see where it all begins.

No wine knowledge needed – just curiosity and a love of a good glass of wine!

  • Delicious local nibbles to accompany your wines

Caring for the environment everyday

Bangor is a 6,000 hectare property farmed and cared for by Matt & Vanessa Dunbabin's family since 1890. With over 5,000 hectares of native forests and wetlands, 35 kilometers of coastline and 2,000 hectares of private nature conservation reserves, and many endangered species including Tassie Devils and Swift Parrots, caring for the environment is a way of life at Bangor.

Bangor is carbon positive. We store significantly more carbon every year than we emit, 1,500 tonnes more!  When you choose Bangor wine, you're supporting the environment and our conservation work. Thank you!
