Pinot Noir and Lamb, a match made in heaven!
When it comes to classic food and wine pairings, Pinot Noir and lamb stand out as a timeless duo. The rich, savory flavors of lamb are beautifully complemented by the bright, nuanced notes of Pinot Noir, creating a symphony of tastes that delights the palate.
Pinot Noir, known for its versatility and elegance, offers a range of flavors from red berries and cherries to earthy undertones. Its balanced acidity and smooth tannins make it an ideal match for the robust, slightly gamey flavor of lamb. Whether roasted, grilled, or braised, lamb's tender texture and depth of flavor harmonize perfectly with the complexity of a well-crafted Pinot Noir.
At Bangor Vineyard Shed, we celebrate this perfect pairing with our Bangor Pinot and Lamb Long Table Dinner. We will be showcasing our new release 2023 Captain Spotswood Pinot Noir. Along with our Abel Tasman Pinot Noir, and some special back vintages of Pinot, it will be a special wine tasting evening. Lamb from Bangor farm will be the star of the four course dinner. There's no better way to spend a winters evening!
The evening begins with canapés in our inviting tasting room, followed by three seated courses where Bangor lamb and Pinot Noir take center stage. Guests will also enjoy live music from the Cray Brothers, adding a touch of magic to the night. Matt and Vanessa will be on hand to share insights about Bangor Pinot, offering tastings of back vintages of Captain Spotswood and Abel Tasman Pinot Noir for a unique comparison with the current releases.
Our long table dinners are very popular and book out quickly. The warm, communal atmosphere is perfect for making new friends and deepening connections. It's more than just a meal; it's a celebration of the finest Tasmanian produce, the art of winemaking, and the joy of good company.
So, gather your friends and join us on Saturday, 29th June, for a night of exceptional food, wine, and conversation. The Bangor Pinot and Lamb Long Table Dinner is the ideal winter event, offering a cozy escape from the cold and a chance to indulge in the best of Bangor's culinary delights.
