A Perfect Harmony: Bangor Vineyard Joins Forces with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra
We’re delighted to share that Bangor Vineyard Shed is the official wine partner of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO) - a collaboration that celebrates two of Tasmania’s cherished offerings: music and wine.
This partnership brings together the artistry of the TSO, which has inspired audiences across Tasmania for more than 75 years, and the craftsmanship of Bangor’s award-winning wines, grown and made with care on our historic 6,000-hectare property on the Tasman Peninsula.
“Through this partnership our vision is to blend exceptional wines and music to create unique experiences for our audiences.”
— Caroline Sharpen, CEO, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra

A Shared Passion for Music and Community
This partnership strikes a deeply personal chord with us as a family. Music has always played a part in our story.
Matt Dunbabin sang in the Rosny Children’s Choir, Vanessa performed with the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra Wind Ensemble (TYO), and today our own children carry on that musical tradition - performing with the TYO and, in our eldest son’s case, composing music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
As lifelong supporters of the TSO, our family has loved everything from the joyful family concert series we attended when our children were young, to the world-class symphonic performances that continue to inspire us today.
To now partner with the orchestra feels like a natural evolution - a way to celebrate the creativity, connection, and Tasmanian spirit that both Bangor and the TSO embody.
Blending Tasmania’s Best: Music and Wine
Over the next 12 months, the partnership will support a diverse range of TSO concerts and community events - from major performances in Hobart to regional tours across the state.
Bangor will feature at select TSO events with exclusive wine tastings, concert-day experiences, and special offers for Bangor Wine Club members, who receive exclusive discounts on TSO concerts throughout the year.
The collaboration also extends to future events at Bangor itself, where we look forward to welcoming TSO ensembles to perform among the vines.
Spotlight on the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra
Our connection to music began long before this partnership. The Tasmanian Youth Orchestra has been nurturing young Tasmanian musicians since 1965, providing world-class training and performance opportunities across the state.
The TYO continues to inspire a new generation of musicians, including our own children, who gain the confidence and joy that comes from performing together. Many TYO alumni have gone on to perform professionally with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and other leading orchestras across Australia and beyond.
Supporting organisations like the TYO is one of the ways we can help keep Tasmania’s musical future vibrant and strong.

An Evening of Music and Flavour: Cocktail Dinner with the TSO Quartet
To celebrate our new partnership, we’re thrilled to announce an intimate Cocktail Dinner with a TSO Quartet at Bangor Vineyard Shed (Sat 8th Nov, 2025).
Guests will enjoy a four-course seasonal menu, designed by our head chef to pair beautifully with Bangor’s finest wines, alongside live performances from a Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra quartet.
It promises to be a night of music, wine, and shared stories - an unforgettable evening where the notes in the glass meet the notes in the air.
You will find more details and ticket information on our What’s On page, where you’ll also find information about live music, dinners, and events held throughout the year at Bangor.
