It’s hard to believe that Bangor Vineyard Shed is turning 11 years old! Since opening our doors on the 1st of December 2014, you've shared so many special moments with us – from long lunches and weddings to tastings in the vines and cozy winter firesides. To celebrate this milestone, we’ve put together a weekend full of talks, workshops, vineyard tours, live music, and of course, plenty of wine!
And yes, by popular demand, we’re bringing back a true Bangor favourite – the Famous Bangor Lamb Pie – available all weekend in the restaurant!
A Weekend of Activities
Whether you’re a history lover, a creative spirit, or simply enjoy great wine in a stunning coastal setting, there’s something for everyone across the birthday weekend.
Special Wine Tastings – All Week
Join us for a special Abel Tasman Pinot Noir tasting throughout the week. Get a sneak peek at the gold medal-winning 2024 vintage, alongside a special back vintage release. It’s the perfect excuse to raise a glass (or two) to 11 years of Bangor wines!
Daily Vineyard Visits – Fri 28 Nov to Mon 1 Dec, 11am
Each morning at 11am, we’ll head out to the vineyard for a relaxed stroll among the vines. Taste our current wines as you wander and hear a little about life on the farm and vineyard.
This is a free event, no bookings required - just meet us at the tasting bar.
Saturday 29 November – History, Creativity & Music
10:00am – Lagoon Bay History Talk with Tom Dunbabin
Join Tom Dunbabin for a fascinating look at the history of Lagoon Bay, a place of incredible natural beauty and deep cultural heritage. Learn about the early Tasmanian Aboriginal people who called it home, the convict settlers, and the Dunbabin family’s long connection to the land.
Includes light morning tea.

Enjoy a wine-tasting stroll through the vines — free and open to all.
11:00am – Adults Ceramics Workshop (Booked Out)
Get creative with clay and craft your own pair of fairy wrens or robins to take home. These popular workshops have already sold out, but you can email us to join the waiting list (info@bangorshed.com.au).
1:00pm – Live Music with Steph Wilson
Settle in for the afternoon with a glass of Bangor wine and enjoy live tunes from Steph Wilson, the perfect soundtrack to your Saturday by the vines.
Sunday 30 November – Art & Wine
11:00am – Vineyard Visit
Join us again for a guided wine-tasting walk through the vineyard.
1:30pm – Adults Ceramics Workshop
