SHED Lock-In | 5:30-7pm Fri 27th Nov

BANGOR CHARDONNAY TASTING!

The theme for the next Shed Lock-in is Chardonnay. We will look at what this queen of grapes can really do, including something dark and dusty from the museum, one or two wines from elsewhere in the world, plus a very early look at one of our most exciting ever upcoming releases, the 2024 Bangor Reserve Chardonnay.

Join Anthony and Matt for the usual mix of natter and nibbles, some admittedly debatable thoughts on the somewhat prickly origins of this variety and, weather permitting, a gentle evening stroll through the Chardonnay vines.

Tickets are $70, less your usual club discount, and as always, places are limited so jump in early and we’ll see you there.

Join us in Bangor's cosy Private Wine Room for a relaxed and creative two-hour workshop, where you'll make your very own Christmas wreath using a gorgeous selection of fresh and dried seasonal flowers, foliage, seed heads and everlasting botanicals.

Emma will guide you step-by-step through creating a unique wreath to take home and enjoy throughout the festive season. Whether your style is traditional, rustic or modern, you'll have plenty of opportunity to add your own personal touch. No experience is necessary – just bring your Christmas spirit!

Enjoy a glass of Bangor Vintage Sparkling on arrival, along with a delicious morning or afternoon tea as you create.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Bangor this spring. We're open 7 days, 10am-5pm. The perfect time to try Bangor a wine tasting, pick up a bottle of wine for gift or special event, stroll through the vines on a vineyard tour, or enjoy lunch with friends and family.

Bookings are recommended for inside tables (especially on weekends and public holidays). We also have a large deck area (heated and covered) with tables for anyone that drops in without a booking, and picnic tables on our large, fenced lawns. If sitting outside, we recommend bringing a hat, and a jacket for the Tassie weather.

What time does the cellar door open?

Open 10am–5pm, 7 days for wine tastings and wine sales.

Do you serve food after 4pm?

Yes. Lighter options such as cheese platters and oysters are usually available after 4pm.

Do we need a booking?

• No booking needed for wine tastings or to pick up bottles.
• Bookings strongly recommended for restaurant dining, especially on weekends and public holidays. On busy days we may not be able to seat you for a meal without a booking.
  If inside seating is full, we have a large deck area and plenty of lawn space available. You can only book a table inside (outside is not bookable), but if you have an inside table booked, you're welcome to move outside after you arrive.

Wine tasting with a difference! Take a stroll through the vines and learn about the history of the vineyard and the Bangor property, about how the grapes are grown, and how Bangor wine is made. While in the vines you will taste wines from Bangor's range. Experience a working vineyard first-hand, while soaking in the views across the bay and the picturesque seaside township of Dunalley. The general public don't have access to our vineyard, so this is a unique opportunity to see Bangor vineyard up close.
